How to Make a Duct-Tape Bra

If you've ever been to a night club, you'd notice the fun and interesting outfits that some of the people come up with. I had always been toying with the idea of a duct-tape outfit in my head, and finally I decided to give it a shot. So if you like being unique and standing out in a crowd (however big it may be), then make your own duct-tape outfit :)

As a beginner you can start off by making a bra.

• 1 (or more) Roll of Duct-Tape (any color)
• Scissors
• 1 old bra (any color)

You'll want to do this on a flat top, like a kitchen table. Preferably a clean work-area lacking pet hair. I made the mistake of making mine on my bed and I ended up with a few fuzzies in my top.

The first thing you should do is cut a strip of duct-tape that reaches from the inner corner of the bra cup all the way to the outer one. Press this strip firmly onto the bra.

Next, cut many shorter pieces of duct-tape and fix them to the bra. Some of the edges will hang over the cups. Simply cut the excess duct-tape.

*Cut two pieces of duct-tape that are long enough to wrap around your rib-cage. It is cuter if these pieces are different colored than the main one that you chose. Place these two pieces on top of each other, with the sticky sides facing. Overlap them about 2/3rds of the way, leaving sticky edges. Stick one side of this strip around the bottom of your bra, with about an inch over handing. Wrap the bottom sticky end under to attach it. Cut the strip so that it does not cover your bra's clasps in the back.

*At this point you can cut off the straps of your bra.
However it is completely possible to leave them either plain or to coat them in duct-tape. If your bra comes with detachable straps (as most do now), detach one strap. Cut a long piece of duct-tape and begin wrapping the strap at an angle so that it is not necessary to keep cutting new pieces. Repeat this on both sides.

The nice thing about duct-tape outfits is that they are completely customizable. If you wish, you can cut out shapes or a trim and make your top even more interesting. On my top I added a red trim and some pointed "cat-eye" edges.
